What is Personal Care?
Personal care consists of helping you or your loved one with aspects of daily life and maintaining a regular routine. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England defines this service as the provision of personal care for people who are less able to provide it for themselves, because of old age, illness or disability. It maintains health, wellbeing and dignity by providing help with tasks, in the comfort of your own home. We understand that tasks such as grooming and maintaining personal appearance aren’t essential, but we believe that everyone deserves to feel dignified and not compromise on feeling like their normal self, whatever that may be.
