What is End-of-Life Care?
End-of-life, or palliative care, helps your loved one to live as well as possible when their life is at an almost end, allowing for them to pass away with dignity, in a peaceful way. End-of-life care can last for days, or even months leading up to the passing of your loved one. It can help with many duties and even complex needs such as: personal care, administering medication, companionship, and ongoing emotional support for your loved one and family involved. Reducing much of the stress and worries you will be having to cope with at such a difficult time, whilst respecting boundaries and privacy.
How can Clarity Homecare be there for you and your family?
We aim to arrange end-of-life, or palliative care, to start within 24 hours of your enquiry. We prioritise the wishes and preferences of your loved ones to create a bespoke, end-of-life care plan to ensure all your loved one’s worries and needs are taken care of by us and delivered with compassion. The care plan is regularly updated ensuring your loved one is taken care of in the way, that best accommodates their personal wishes, even after they pass away.
We understand that it’s an incredibly tough time, and we believe that reliable and trusted support at an emotional time to a loved one when their life is almost at an end is crucial. Our end-of-life care allows your loved one to stay in the comfortable and familiar surroundings of their own home, so family and loved ones can make the most of the precious time together.

What are the care options for End-of-Life Care?
Home visits at set times:
We aim to provide visits at set times each day, lasting as little as 30 minutes, to several hours at a time, depending on personal circumstances and requirements. Homecare visits also offer a valuable sitting service, for if a loved one living with, or caring for the care recipient needs a few hours to rest for themselves.
This service can also be used for extra support with home keeping duties, or even meal preparation, allowing for family members to spend their time focusing on the precious final moments with their loved ones. We will work with you to ensure the care is offered in a supportive and empathetic manor that respects your wishes, privacy, and boundaries.
Overnight stay:
Your loved one may need constant support, so overnight stays are most suitable. It provides a valuable service for if you or a care giver living with or caring for the care recipient to have much needed rest.
