What isDementia Care?
Dementia affects more than 850,000 people in the UK. The impact on you and your loved ones receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be incredibly daunting. You may be unsure how to handle the behaviours and situations, as Dementia is a disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease, and the effects for those with the illness can be significant.
Initiating a conversation regarding the need of care can be challenging for both parties. To support you through this journey, we provide trained and experienced carers to help maintain your loved ones quality of life while remaining in their own home. We strongly believe that seeing a friendly and familiar face on every visit is essential and we will work with you to ensure the routines are incorporated into a bespoke Dementia Care Plan that can be routinely followed.
What can we do to help?
Our carers are trained to notice early changes and act accordingly to ensure safety and wellbeing are prioritised and will be dealt with in a timely manner. Where possible, we involve the care recipient as we promote independence, empowerment and choice, balanced with managing risks safely. Your loved one will have a small pool of carers assigned to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
